Paediatric Physiotherapist
Jen has been a paediatric physiotherapist at Physioactive since moving to Australia in 2018. Before that she had her own paediatric practice in Johannesburg, South Africa. Jen works with a variety of young children, and is confident working with all ages, including premmies and newborns. She understands how hard it can be to fit extra exercises and activities into busy home life, so is able to adjust home programs to fit into your family situation.
Jen has been working in paediatrics for almost 20 years, and has three children of her own. This adds to her ability to work with a child and focus on their interests, making the sessions seem more like play time that therapy. Among many post-graduate courses, Jen has training in TMR for Tots, working with torticollis and plagiocephaly babies. Jen also had firsthand experience of children with different hypermobility disorders, and training in EDS for children.
If Jen is not at work, she is running after her three children, juggling life as a mum. Jen enjoys bush walks and swimming; and still can’t understand the rules of AFL. If she gets the chance to sit down, she can be found reading a book with her feet up, but that doesn’t happen too often.
